Washoe Tribe Wood For Elders Program

The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California has retained TSS to conduct a review of their commercial-scale firewood production enterprise.  Currently scaled to produce about 600 cords/year, the Tribe would like to grow the enterprise to double current production.  Much of the firewood produced is delivered to Tribal Elders at no cost.  The Tribe would like to significantly increase firewood sales to the public, thus creating a financially sustainable enterprise.  TSS will analyze existing operations, conduct a regional firewood market review and produce a business plan that summarizes findings and recommendations.
