TSS Begins Pre-Development Work for the Mammoth Bioenergy facility in Mammoth Lakes, CA

TSS has been awarded a contract from Mono County to conduct the pre-development work necessary to construct and operate a 3+ megawatt bioenergy facility near Mammoth Lakes, CA.  This facility will be a Category 3 Bioenergy Market Adjusting Tariff (BioMAT) facility within the Southern California Edison service territory, and will use the forest sourced woody biomass from ongoing wildfire reduction and forest health management activities.  TSS will be working with Mono County, Inyo National Forest, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, West Biofuels (the chosen facility developer), Ormat Technologies, and the Whitebark Institute for this U.S. Forest Service Wood Innovations Grant funded project.  The facility itself will be funded in part by a U.S. Department of Energy.
