Sierra Business Council (SBC) has recently launched the Woody Feedstock Aggregation Pilot Program within the Central Sierra Nevada Region. This initiative is focused on five counties; Alpine, Amador, Tuolumne, Calaveras and Mariposa. The Central Sierra Pilot Program will be an opportunity for innovation with regards to finding value-added uses for byproducts generated as a result of forest restoration and fuels reduction activities. SBC retained TSS to provide project support by conducting a feedstock supply and cost analysis, review current workforce and forest feedstock supply infrastructure, and conduct a feasibility study for a value-added wood products yard within the five-county Central Sierra region.
