TSS Retained to Develop Feedstock Supply Chain for First Ever Commercial Scale Forest Biomass to Transportation Fuels Bio-Refinery

In December of 2015 TSS was retained by Red Rock Biofuels of Fort Collins, Colorado, to provide services in support of forest feedstock procurement and supply chain development. Red Rock is currently developing a 15 million gallon per year facility at Lakeview, Oregon that will require about 140,000 dry tons of forest feedstock per year. Targeted feedstocks include excess forest biomass from forest fuels reduction and restoration activities, timber harvest residuals and western juniper from range restoration projects. The Lakeview facility is scheduled to begin receiving feedstock deliveries Q3 2017. Red Rock will be producing low carbon renewable fuels including jet fuel, diesel and naphtha. Red Rock has long-term offtake agreements with Southwest Airlines and FedEx for renewable jet fuel.
