The Nature Conservancy Selects TSS to Conduct Wood Waste Availability and Utilization Assessment for the Greater Taos, New Mexico Region

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has selected TSS as the prime contractor to conduct an assessment of forest biomass material generated as a byproduct of fuels treatment and forest restoration activities in the greater Taos, NM region. TNC is coordinating with the Taos Valley Watershed Coalition (TVWC) to support planning and implementation of landscape-scale forest restoration projects across 280,000 acres on the west slope of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.  Once the forest biomass supply assessment is complete, TSS will conduct a technology review to provide TNC with a range of value-added utilization technologies best suited to convert locally available forest biomass material.  The forest biomass assessment and technology review will be completed by December 31, 2016.
